Frequently asked questions.

What can I expect during my first session?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, explore what has brought you to therapy, and begin identifying your goals for our work together. You don't need to have everything figured out beforehand—we'll start wherever you are and move at a pace that feels right for you.

What is therapy with you like?

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation. While I provide a warm and supportive space, I actively engage in the process, sharing observations, asking thoughtful questions, and helping you notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Depending on your goals, our work may include talk therapy, EMDR, nervous system regulation, or a combination of all as we explore the experiences that have shaped how you relate to yourself and others.

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be fully yourself while also feeling supported to grow. Together, we'll work toward greater self-understanding, healing, and lasting change.

How long do I need to be in therapy?

The length of therapy looks different for everyone. Some clients come to therapy for support through a specific challenge, such as anxiety, stress, a life transition, or a difficult relationship. Others choose to stay longer as we explore deeper patterns, heal from past experiences, or work through trauma and attachment wounds.

There is no "right" timeline for therapy. My goal is not only to help you feel better in the moment, but to support meaningful, lasting change. We'll regularly check in about your goals, what's feeling helpful, and what you need from the process as it evolves.

What is your rate, and do you accept insurance?

My rate for individual therapy and EMDR sessions is $200 per session. I am an out-of-network provider. Although I do not bill insurance directly, I provide clients with a monthly superbill. This can be submitted to your insurance company as a claim if you have out-of-network mental health benefits. Many PPO plans will reimburse a specific amount for therapy sessions, although each plan differs. For more information on how to use a superbill, please check with your insurance provider.
